PMM – Open Sourced

PMM – Open Sourced

15th May 2012, in Highlights, News/Blog ( Comments)

A brief post, for fear of beating a dead horse.

I’m outright copying Moldover’s idea of open-sourcing a controller design. This one is for the PMM.

As with the Moldover MOJO Page, the freebies are on the top of the page, with a not-so-subtle solicitation embedded at the bottom.

PMM Open Source Page.

(Peter Kirn is going to yell at me again for not using Github. So I ask — do y’all have any desire to share your own alterations of this design online?)

Will this work with the V 2.5.4?

I see that nearly half the cost is in the enclosure, given the volumes I can see why.

Any videos coming of it in action?

1. It very likely works with V 2.5.4. The client had a strong desire to _not_ use any MIDI translation software, so all the "tricks" in the electronics were meant to accommodate that.

2. Yep, one-off metal manufacture is expensive!

3. No videos, sorry. I believe it's currently in Ibiza.
